Before I decided to start DemiLeadership, I chose to continue updating my skills in order to mentor new leaders. After 35 years in education I know that exceptional leaders need exceptional mentors.

Over the course of my career I have discovered that the best educators are always open to being educated. As we share things that we have learned in our own work, we can help each other improve. For instance this issue of Educational Leadership is a great resource for improving schools. After all the best leaders know that the key to success is surrounding themselves with smart people. As leadership standards continue to change, you need not only to be aware of new metrics, but also of ways to position yourself and your school for success. One of our goals at DemiLeadership is to be an integral part of assisting leaders in moving forward in their careers in the least stressful, most productive ways.
